Our Ministries

School Lunches
First Christian Church delivers lunches to those children in need each week throughout the school year at Mayfield Elementary School.  These lunches provide a healthy lunch for one day during the weekend.  This ministry has been a commitment for many years.

Shelter Meals
First Christian Church provides 6 evening meals for the local shelter residents during each calendar year.  Not only do we provide the dinner but we also pray with and serve the residents.

Open Doors
First Christian Church opens our facility to many local groups for meetings and fellowship.  Some of these groups are local artists, West End Ruritan Club, and The Roaring 50’s Variety & Gospel Group.

The Caring Place
FCC members take pride and satisfaction is helping those in need in our own community.  One local charity that has touched our congregation greatly and called us to help them provide food and clothing to the less fortunate is The Caring Place.  To spur us to be ever mindful of this need, FCC has created the "Manna Wagon," a sizeable transport vehicle to collect our donations for The Caring Place.  The Manna Wagon can be seen in FCC sanctuary each and every Sunday to remind us to continue to serve the fellow brothers and sisters of our community.
