Rev. Donna Herrick Called As Our Pastor – First Christian Church Of Cleveland TN

We are pleased to welcome Rev. Donna Kay Herrick as the new Pastor of First Christian Church.  Rev. Herrick was called in March by a unanimous vote of FCC members.  On May 19th, Pastor Donna was formally installed as our minister by Rev. Kevin McNeil, Tennessee Region Interim Minister.  It was a joyous occasion for all and included ordination of Deacon Ron Farwig and the baptism of Austin Smith.  Austin is the father of Pastor Donna’s grandson.  She is excited to start her ministry here and has started a formal process for the vision of FCC’s future in the Cleveland community.

Rev. Herrick has extensive educational and professional credentials.  A native of Henderson, TN, she earned her BS degree at Freed-Hardeman College; a MDiv degree at Besson Divinity School-Samford University in Birmingham, AL, and a DMin degree at Claremont School of Theology, Claremont, CA.

Rev. Herrick has extensive experience in Clinical Pastoral Education and has served as a CPE supervisor.  She also has experience as a pastor at Mt. Baldy Community Church-Mt. Baldy, CA and at FCC-Beaumont, CA.

After being away from church ministry for some years she “sensed God’s call to return to ministry within the church.”  She has stated that she felt a connection and sense of the Holy Spirit with FCC and its members after being with us on a few occasions.  She sees wonderful possibilities for much-needed ministry in our community.

Pastor Donna and husband David live in Chattanooga.  Please join us in welcoming her to the FCC family.
